It's Been a Year!

This year has been all but unexpected for me, what started out as a simple question transpired into an initiative that has already started opening doors for women. During this period, I met some of the greatest women with inspiring stories, who lived in the same country, but I didn’t know untilI started looking. How many of us are really looking?

I made many new friends, re-connected with old ones that have come so far, and I am happy to celebrate their wins and support them through their trials. I didn’t think that building this community of women would be achievable, it somehow felt like a utopian dream, but things are always simpler than we build them up to be.

Have we not faced any setbacks? Of course we did! And that brought me closer to friends, made acquaintances into friends, and transformed strangers into friends. That’s the beauty of reaching out and asking for help; most people want to help you.

Today, I am the happiest I have been in a very long time, doing something that makes me and my community thrive. All because of the great people around me that I failed to look closely at previously, and possibly took for granted.

I am continuing on this journey with more great ideas that a strong and competent team around me is helping me achieve, because it’s the sum of all our collective work, not an individual’s. Thank you for supporting me. Thank you for supporting your community. Together we can open doors for me, for you, and for us all.
